An old religion made new again

Wicca is based on an old religion that has been found again. Some call themselves pagans, others Wiccans, but all honor the Mother that is the Earth and all that walk, crawl, fly and even the plants and rocks that lives on Her.

I don't pretend to know everything about Wicca. I don't think anyone knows everything. We're all learning as we grow in Spirital knowledge. For the longest time I considered myself simply Pagan, but as I learned more about Wicca and what it stands for, I found that it was closer to how I felt.

'An it harm none, do what ye will'. To me these eight words mean that I'm free to do whatever I wish as long as it doesn't harm anyone, including myself, other people, animals or plants. When it's time to trim a tree, I explain the situation to the tree and give it what honor I can before I do any cutting. With herbs, before I cut any leaves I request that I use them in whatever I need to do. It might be a spell or needing to season a dish I'm cooking. This might sound odd to most, but they were put here by the Mother, some call Her Mother Nature, and I feel I must give them honor and respect.
